Personalizing AI Results
As a routine user of AI engines and an active observer/researcher of AI trends, I wanted to share perspectives on something I apply and believe is critical to successful use of what the tools are presenting to us.
With my clients-in terms or with 1:1 coaching, I frequently speak to the situational applicability needs of applying leadership, team performance or resilience building strategies.
By situational, I mean that the diverse and vast volume of strategies we can select from to build skill or respond to circumstances must be customized to ones unique situations. Generalized suggestions fall short of effectiveness. No two situations are identical. Ones cumulative experiences matter.
So what does this translate to? When you are using an AI engine to provide you personal performance, developmental, mental health, etc. insights, be careful how you are using the results you get back. The AI engine does not know you as you (should) know yourself. It does not have clarity of the situational accumulation of behavioral results you have experienced. It does not know what you have already tried to apply to develop or overcome a condition. It does not know how to personalize to your unique identity.
By all means, teach yourself how to effectively use AI engines. The tools are incredibly useful to assimilate information from diverse sources. But also be sure to consider SITUATIONALLY how to personalize the results you are receiving to your unique conditions. The 1-N list you get back as a AI engine search result may not be in the right order of prioritization and application. You (with help of a performance coach or therapist as examples) are in the best position of discerning what that 1-N order should be.
