Leadership Presence

Our leadership presence (how we choose to adaptively portray ourselves) is our most powerful communication tool. It is the path to influence & motivation. Exceptional leaders know how to "show up" differently per situation.

However, this does not occur automatically, but through intent. Lack of focused intent keeps us in that “default” model, meaning we present ourselves in a routine manner and what is most comfortable for us, rather than what is most effective and personalized for others.

Know that how we choose to show up and present ourselves also contributes to trust and psychological safety (when others feel most comfortable to speak up and share ideas and concerns).

Train yourself to personalize how you present yourself. This does not make you fake or inauthentic. It makes you a more effective, caring leader and adaptable individual.
