Lifting Up Others
Do you leave each person, in every interaction, in a better place then they started?
Consider this-what if our sole intention in our leadership (or any role) capacity was to only enhance the skills and outlook of the person we are interacting with. In other words, intentionally leave them with a most positive experience through our motivation and perspective offering.
There are many ways to accomplish this and it doesn’t require a long speech or ted-talk to achieve it. It does require us to thoughtfully listen and scan for (even ask) what does this person need more of in the moment. It’s not just the words we use, but also the tone of our voice.
Even when we ourselves might be in a “down moment”, we each have it from within to end the conversation, interaction, meeting or even text, with some encouraging messaging.
In a world where the ratio of positives/negatives is often out of whack, each of us can do our part or not allow the negatives, which will always be there, to be the dominating theme.
Be the person who brightens up others and offers a much needed boost to their day.
