Achieving Leadership Mastery Starts Here

Make Reframing One Of Your X-Factors

While we can’t always control the stuff that life deals us, we certainly can (and must) control on how we mentally process it and manage it. Having a reframing mindset is a proven strategy to navigate the challenges, stress and anxiety. Reframing is a proven technique as a resiliency builder-something we all can use more of.

Reframing is a commitment to evaluating the current situation we are facing with a different perspective.

Some examples:

  • I may not be exactly where I want to be, but can learn from where I am

  • The situation is difficult, and I have never experienced anything like this, but I am committedto tackling it and adding value

  • I am not going to allow the negativity occurring around me to consume me

  • The choice is mine to make regarding my emotional states

Reframing is not about ignoring negativity or the emotional distress we are feeling. Rather, it’s a willingness to look at the situation with a more optimistic, useful, growth oriented, forward focused lens. The goal is to learn from it rather than getting swallowed up by it.

Just “gutting out” life’s tough stuff, which is often promoted by many, is NOT a proven resiliency and wellness building strategy.

Reframing what we are facing most definitely IS a proven strategy. Put it to good use. Make it one of your X-Factors that becomes one of your differentiators.
