Cultivate Hope

You probably have heard the saying: “hope is not a strategy”. Truth. However, hope can cultivate optimism about the future. Optimism fuels our emotionally positive upward spirals, strengthening us against stress and adversity. Those upward spirals build resiliency to enable us to better cope.

To get to hope, one needs to have a belief (your truths, a mindset), that being hopeful about “something” is indeed possible. That belief yields confidence, which enables us to have a hopeful outlook.

So while “hope” itself is not a strategy as we might typically think of, it provides a pathway to being able to look at situations more positively and create resiliency that benefits all of us.
