The Path To Leadership Influence Model

This is the most proven path to leadership influence in any role. We need to think of influence as an integrated series of skill and behavioral steps. There is no easy way to simply make the leap. It’s not a straight line. It’s not a formula. There is “just do this” as often portrayed (or hoped for). It takes purposeful focus and competency development per step, as part of a system. The visual of the system I use is in front of you. Work through your own examples both forward and in reverse within this model and you will see what I mean. Start with mindset and play out what would occur if you had a negative/fixed mindset. Reverse the sequence starting with trust and role play mentally what would defeat gaining sufficient trust.
