Leadership Strategies, AI, IQ + EQ
While AI engines can provide a quick reference through savvy prompts, to IQ (build my skill, give me approaches, how should I…) approaches to leading, it can not (currently) match the human brain social processing capability of reading people and personalizing the interactions. This is better known as our EQ-Social Intelligence ability.
Social intelligence is one of the big three dimensions of EQ, the other two being self-awareness and emotional management.
Social inteliigence is the most complex of all three, involving the processing and intersection of multiple brain functions (what do I know about this person, how have I handled this before. what are my choices, how might they react, how should I adapt, etc etc etc etc). The vast sum of all those permutations and combinations of choices is complex AND why we often don’t get personal interactions right at times.
The moral to the story here is that as we continue to use AI tools for very productive and positive purposes to build up our IQ related leadership skills, we must wrap those AI engine responses with the more complex human social intelligence aspect. When you receive the AI tool “do these things as a leader” response to a situation, stop and reflect on “what is the best way to say or listen to the person(s) in front of me” elements.
