Achieving Leadership Mastery Starts Here

Leadership Is Not A Linear Path

If it were, every individual would be an incredibly awesome leader of influence and motivation with others. But, life is not linear and neither is leadership. Any one with a diverse background loaded with challenges and failures recognizes this. Exceptional leadership involves lots and lots of dynamic agility and shifts with adaptability. There is lots of zig zag navigation needed and sometimes one’s GPS does not render a useful map. Adaptability rules in todays world and the most successful leaders have experienced that.

There is confidence and control that comes from a leader who believes that despite uncertainty, they are the architect of their journey. This does not imply that they will “get it right” all the time. Rather, that they are in great control of their decisions and choices. It’s sort of like a chess game where effectiveness occurs from proactively and adaptively thinking ahead by several moves and having options (plan A, B, C).

Be the architect and designer of your leadership path. Do not allow default behavior or “just getting by” to dominate your day. Default is ok for certain learned habits, but to grow and play the chess game strategically, requires intentionality of thinking-which is a mindset that will keep you out of sub conscious versions of default.
