Turbocharging Fulfillment & Achievement
Meaning and purpose can create tremendous fulfillment, well-being and even resiliency in our lives.
Meaning is what fuels our intrinsic needs. It’s about what drives and motivates you inner self. It’s what creates a sense of life satisfaction. We each are different in this regard.
Purpose is most often what we do for others. It’s contributing to something bigger than ourselves. It’s making a difference with people, an organization or even a process.
We have much control over our meaning and purpose and when we lack either or both, it fuels more negativity than positivity. Yes, there is a spirituality element to meaning and purpose as well, distinct from what I am referring to here.
Awareness and intentionality of beliefs, values and attitudes, is what brings meaning and purpose to life. We each must own and can take greater charge and accountability of our goals, focus and destiny. We can control well over 90% of the situations we face. But it takes elevated awareness and intentionality to drive that.
Take stock of where your focus and intentionality are taking you. If you are not feeling sufficient meaning and purpose in your days, reflect on what needs to change. Put in place a plan that you work DAILY to find greater meaning and purpose. Don’t just complain about stuff when you aren’t taking action to fix it.
The moment you make this decision to take action, you will immediately feel better about your situations, because you put greater control back into your hands. That’s a decision you own and can take right now.
