Staying Positive
You probably feel like you hear more and more about staying positive and the benefits. Not everyone believes in the power of being positive and optimism.
I’m here to tell you that the benefits are real and more than just encouraging words and phrases.
You see, this is really a “brain” (AKA neuroscience) thing. When we feel more positive, optimism and encouragement our brain produces hormones that help to fortify our beliefs in ourself, confidence and overall focus on achievement. It builds up our resiliency to stress. It enables us to defeat or at least better deal with life’s waves of toxicity.
Staying more positive therefore, actually mentally “wires” us to be more attuned to the negative self talk and helps us not get stuck on that.
This is not about “never being negative”. That is impossible and should not be the goal. We all go negative-myself included. This is more about awareness, recognition, learning, finding the good even in the negative and getting ourselves back over to a more positive state.
Manage your self talk and don’t get stuck in the negative thinking traps. And by all means, do your best to surround yourself with people that tend be more positive and encouraging.
