2022 Will Be Different...Which Means That YOU Need To Be Different Version Of You Too

These times are unprecedented and disruptive and all indications are, WILL continue. Waiting for things to change and revert to normal in circumstances like this is not a good strategy. Defaulting to current personal and team practices and behaviors will not elevate thinking and abilities to boldly thrive in this new environment.

What we are experiencing in business, education, law enforcement, ministry and athletics is the NEW normal. And while there is a decades old phrase out there that we will “rise to the occasion”, we really only rise up to our level of experience and training, through new ways of thinking and intentional attentiveness.

So this boils down to this-adaptability and agility are the rules of engagement in our world in every context and role. This means that we need to look at things differently and be willing to operate differently, which requires personal, family and team change. I’m not talking about being inauthentic or changing your persona, rather, your thinking processes, skill levels, for your God given purpose and required behaviors.

For 2022, the question for each of us will be: where do we need to look at situations differently and adapt to the new conditions? What areas will you invest in to become that next best version of you? Waiting is not an option. Neither is living in the past.

For me personally in 2022, clearly there are areas where I recognize I need to be more attentive to, adapt, develop and grow.
